End of Day Two

a post from Jeff
Energetic kids
Like sponges
So much to learn
New music,
four & five part harmonies
Lots of pencils
Lots of erasers
Lots of eagerness

Hope that it all sticks over 4th
So far, they are doing their work.

Next step, singing plus staging.

It's what they love to do.

As I told Laura, it makes me so happy to think of those wide-eyed kids realizing that there are dreams to strive for, and making memories and lifetime friends. I went to ballet summer camp at that age and still have some of those friends to this day.

I hope that you'll consider posting photos or video of the "works in progress" so that we can see the smiles and joy in the process.

I also went to summer theater camp and to theater "school" every weekend for years in middle school. Those are some of my fondest memories and helped make me who I am today. You're doing great work! Can't wait to hear more!

Oh to be young again and in your area - I would so much love to help. I had 3 showchoirs in my younger years and started a junior playhouse in my town. Today those kids are grown with kids of their own and when I see them they tell me how much being in those groups helped them with self-confidence and self-worth. My favorite child was Callie. She died when she was 15 from CF. I put her in every show she auditioned for and she just bloomed. Her parents were grateful to ME but I was grateful to HER for sharing her life with me. I miss her.

I wish the kids a great summer!
I saw a few perform in April and they were amazingly talented.
